Well-animated, action-packed story with interesting thoughts about the definition of humanity in a futuristic setting. Enjoyable, though there are occasional plot questions here and there.

What a storyline! Armitage III really has a way to keep you interested. There was enough of everything in this movie (romance, action, comedy to a lesser degree) that will keep watchers happy. The art is fantastic! A hit right on the head.

the story line is very good,but i have to say i didn't like they batmanish style animation. Armittage herself was annimated very well, but the rest of the caracters were animated in a non-anime style. esspessially the male caracters.

I LOVED this anime!!!!! It had great action, amazing animation, an inventive storyline, and just a hint of romance! Also, the music was so fun that my friend and i were humming it for about a week. I give it two enthusiastic thumbs up!

I love this anime. The story is awsome. I could watch this over and over agian. I wnat to buy the rest of these movies soon.

I must say that for the first half of this movie, I was very impressed. Good animation, Great soundtrack, moody/disturbing atmosphere, and a healthy dose of paranoia... much like Blade Runner, Dark City, and Total Recall.
Kiefer Sutherland has had a lot of criticism for his voice-over job of Sylibus, but I rather liked it. It has a calculating monotone quality to it which had a "cop-like" sound to it. Elixabeth Berkley did a great job as the voice of Armitage. I believe she was also the voice of Gally of Battle Angel (a great movie - check it out.)
With this said, the second half of the movie...arg... they went to great lengths to set the story on Mars. The cities are located within enormous domes (very high-techie), but the buildings within them might as well have been on Earth. Old churches and brick houses. I can forgive the cars driving around within the domes, but when the characters are driving around in normal cars (convertible...) across the desert, that was too much. It is passed of as a result of the Terraforming project, but if that is so, why are all the people still living within the domes?
Without giving anything away, the political aspect came out of nowhere, and seemed forced into the story. (I haven't seen the 4 tape series that the movie was based on yet, but I plan to, and I hope that this is explaned better there). The obligatory "big fight" at the end (all anime have one...) also seems forced into the story.
Please don't take my criticism the wrong way. This is a very good story with a well developed social message. Good animation and lots of action.

This is a great peace of anime.The story is good,animation is great,the characters are cool too....this another one of those greats we anime fans just love!I also like how the movie toches a VERY important subject...just watch it and you'll get it.Great movie...nuff said!

All the workings of a Hollywood production
(plot,characters,twists,etc)A fairly deep movie,And
if you don't watch it carefully the first time you
miss the plot all together.Superb movie I still enjoy
an encore of this Anime.(Entrances me every time!!!)

It had something many good anime's lack today. A story. The movie was full of emotion and drama. I would have went out and got it if I wasn't a cheap Bastard.

There's just some thing about this movie that make's it one of the best I've ever seen. I'ts a compleate story that dosen't leave you hanging. It satisfies in every way. The best!

I was impressed by seeing this anime because
it just a film about something, "normal"
films are not able to present. It is fantastic,
how real it seems to be, what means that i got
lost in that atmosphere...simply said...i love it!

I thought that this was one of, if not the, best anime movies I have ever seen. It absolutely blew me away. Also, the music was sensational.
