In the anime, wasn't Astro Boy created in the year 2001? How come he isn't created yet? (i know, it's just an anime)
My parents like Astro Boy and other old anime, because back then anime looked more realistic. I actually don't really like how it's drawn, i don't think it's anime-ish enough.
I have noticed that Omasu Tezuka(creator of Astro Boy) used a combination of anime (duh, he is known as the Father of Anime) and western cartoons.
i still like it, but it's just not anime-ish enough (for me anyways) compared to animes now.

It has been 35 years since I last saw an image of Astro Boy. I recall my father tossing me up in his arms and playing "Astro Boy" with me. I guess it was around the early 60's when I last saw the cartoon. Thanks for the memories!
