The characters are great, the humor is gentle-yet-crazy, the music is whimsically splendid and that's just about all you need to know! A personal favorite that I recommend to anyone with a sense of humor (or a pulse).

This is very good. All the characters act like normal high school sudents would (for the most part n.n), unlike most anime.
I recommend this to anyone who has at least a basic knowlege of Japanese culture, because a good chunk of the humor is very Japanese

Azumanga is nutty, funny, cool and weird, all at the same time. It's based on the 4-panel manga.
It basically tells the story of a bunch of girls in their highschool years; the series follow them right through three years of highschool.
Every episode has four little stories in it and it's nice and weird.
The OP & ED-songs are to die for. :)
