Combines all the typical themes of shoujo (love, friendship, maturity/growth, etc.), however I feel this series manages to take it to another level, bringing a major sense of reality in such a fictious setting (situation). Everything about this series is perfect and balanced out. The opening and ending themes are fantastic and very heartfelt. The songs are now more painful to listen to, due to the passing of Ms. Okazaki, Ritsuko (who sang much more brilliant and heartfelt songs during her time). I think many should see "Furuba" whenever they want to take time away from action/drama series. You pretty much grow attached to these characters as if they were really your friends and you cared what happened to them.
