I don't know what it is about it that makes me watch it over and over. (boy could my tape could use the rest.) I'm usually not big on shoujo series but this one has something for everybody. The characters are incredibly deep and interesting. The humor is wacky yet intelligent. The whole theme of the series about being your own person and not just another "fruit in a basket" is something I believe everyone needs to hear. Fruits Basket isn't just a manga or an anime, it's a great work of literature as well.
