Story

The main story develops its characters carefully, and is the shadow or "unusual" events of the protagonist's life. These stories feature the mercenary group Mithril, their mobile base/submarine, called the TDD-1 Tuatha De Danaan, giant humanoid powered suits called Arm Slaves, and the various missions to which Sousuke Sagara is assigned. A highlight of the series is a serious and semi-realistic view of humanoid robotic weapons on the battlefield. The Arm Slave has significant consideration in its portrayal, with explanations given for its power source, operations, maintenance and pilot user interface. The existence of such advanced weaponry and equipment is explained through Black Technology.
This story has the part which was created by referencing Wikipedia, so the licence of GFDL is applied to this story.

I Love It! Sousuke is so cute! I find it very funny. The story is good too. The animation is also great.

It's an excellent animation.
Sousuke is kinda an interesting person, and the action scenes inside are very exceted.
As well, the cast did a very good job.

Studio Gonzo has made a gem here with Full Metal Panic!. The sleek animation and unobtrusive CGI work meld perfectly, and the cast make for a great blend of romance, action, and a bit of comedy. Recommended!

An excellent anime that is a strange combination of genres (high school romance/mecha action drama). The characters are excellent, and the animation is spectacular. Well worth watching.

A GREAT ANIME!!! Kousuke's great!!!
But some episodes are somehow disappointed, lacks of action... Nevertheless, still a good anime!!! The storyline's kinda unique too... I hope the following episodes will be as good!!!
