Allow me to give a slightly more rational review. I love Fushigi Yuugi. It is my favorite anime of all time. The reason FY is so wonderful is its characters. They are, with few exceptions, wonderfully 3 dimensional people. You grow deeply attatched to them very quickly. The depth of the show is incredible, surpassing anything else I've ever come across. Humor and tradgedy both are inherent in it. I could go on about it all day, easily, but this is a review so I'll stop now. If you're any kind of anime fan, you should invest in FY.
