I was hoping this series would be one of my favorites, unfortunately it turns out the mediocre storyline and characters just didn't hold up. Nightwalker is a detective of the supernatural, but he is a vampire. He works at this agency along with his partner (an older woman, I've forgotten her name). During one of the cases, they meet up with a young girl, who's parents have been transformed into monsters which Nightwalker had to destroy. Along the way, she gets hurt and is dying, so he makes her a vampire. This would've been okay, but there is this other vampire, Cain/Kain, who "gave birth" to Nightwalker's current state and is just obsessed with him. He wants Nightwalker to return to him so they can continue their glorious days of feeding on innocent virgins and all that. Yeah, so it was a bit dull especially with Nightwalker constantly questioning himself and his existance (gets tiring after a while).
