hmmm.... the ending kinda sucks in the anime.... but the artwork is good and cool characters too...

CLAMP's artwork is ravishing, to say the very least. In terms of characterization and plot, though, I wish they can speed things up a bit. In RG Veda, they started off very nicely--the story was unwinding well--until it droops down in the middle. Then, it sort of labors along until (and this is what I've noted about CLAMP's style), all the eggs are suddenly placed in the basket right until the very end! The last book of RG Veda had so many revelations explaining the whole story (startling revelations at that!) that it really left me winded after I finished! I have a nasty feeling it's going to be the same for X 1999!!!! Oh, well...this manga/anime is still good, though!

Complicated story, mystery but also great to watch. Nice characters design by CLAMP. Great action and storyline.
