this anime should have fallen somewhere between very good and best... but I guess I'd give it best for giving me a really pleasant and cool unforgettable feeling... but... some parts doesn't make sense.... thare are missing puzzle pieces here and there... hmmm... nevertheless... one of the best!!!!!!!!

ONe of the first animes I ever saw, and still one of the best. A rather lengthy series, but worth due to the richness of characters nad animation.

I haven't seen the origonal OVa, I've only seen the sequel series. (Heroic Knight) I love it even though the animation sucks!!! (The faces are drawn waaaay weird! I hate that!) The story line is addictive and Orson rules!!! Cool anime, but not a favourite. I want to see the origonal OVA/ movie/ whatever though, cuz without seeing it the sequel is hard to understand.

One of the best animes! It's fantastic, dramatic and wonderfull!!!
I think everyone have to see and feel such a great adventure!

The OAV is really complex and intricate. It is interesting in that DUngeons and Dragons sort of way. However it is well done and your classic fight against good and evil (perhaps not so evil). Ashram is an awesome character!
The T.V. series isn't nearly as complicated (it's actually looks like it was made for three year olds) but it's funny (especially the lodoss island stuff). The t.V. series is not ment to be taken seriously.

This OAV series was like totally WONDERFUL. A great love story, twists and turns, great villians, awesome soundtrack, and well developed characters. One of the BEST ANIME'S ever!!!!!!!! KICKASS

This has to be, hands down one of the best anime moavies for it's genre. Awesome story, killer animation, and just overall fun to watch. I highly recommend this series.

This japanese anime is action packed, i love the story.

This was the best, and Karla kicked butt, manipulating everyone like that as like they were chess I wonder if she could have faced Wagnard and the Goddess of Destruction.

Record of Lodoss War!! This is one of my fave animes and i definently reccomend this. The characters are really great, the storyline is awesome, and the animation is pretty good too. Deedlit 4 ever!!

If we're talking the OAV then that was icredible. But the T.V. seires was just pathetic. The "Welcome to Lodoss Island" part at the end of each episode really cheapens the whole story. The dubbing was just awful and the animation left something to be desired. It seems like they just threw something together in an hour to cach in on the OAVs popularity. It's a real shame.
