It has good characters but the animation is not consistent. In one scene the girls are wearing burgundy uniforms then suddenly they change into mint green sailor collars and white blouses? Uhh...the manga,I think,was better. Tokiya has a pretty face but a bastardous attitude! Call me ridiculous but he acts so conceited thinking that his more beautiful than any character!!!!!! And the hair!!!! I wanna pull his damn dead hair!!! I think he's a crossover of Kurama and Hiei's DNA--is he a clone? Fuuko is great! Kage Houshi is really amazing and Domon just...uhh...just fine. Recca really is...uhh...stupid? I mean--in the first place he shouldn't be telling the whole world he is a ninja and offering every person to challenge him!!!!! He's ridiculous! Kurei is so magnificent! Distortion and loneliness! His BG music really describes him!!!! Kurenai really suits as his old love. Kurenai was sweet, kind, loving and most of all understanding--everything that was taken from him.*sob* T_T Anyway, watch the anime and you might be linking it to Yuu Yuu Hakusho. Great characters, unbelievably historical story ala Rurouni Kenshin, nice moves but too short to be an anime to be obsessed with. That's all bye!!!!!! ^.^ Mwahhh!

Recca no Honou is a great series (although I personally prefer the manga to the anime), and is well worth a watch. The action will keep you transfixed, while some parts of the series will bring tears to your eyes. However, the mangaka tends to be a wee bit too perverse at times.
Nonetheless, I wouldn't discourage you from watching / reading this series unless you absolutely abhor hentai and will have nothing to do with it.

Mikagami Tokiya is cool! and the story out line is good enough to make one addicted too...
only not very realistic...

I think the recent story is interesting because Mikagami which supports Rekka was defeated again.
I'm sorry that he survived but it's good that the charcters supporting Rekka sometimes lose.
