You do realize I'm a saint for the rating, right? I'm sorry, but Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon is far from a classic in my eyes. The only people who receive any characterization are Usagi, Mamoru, and Chibi-Usa, truthfully. The other senshi are just thrown on the back-burner. The animation is... not exactly flattering. The only saving graces of this anime are the seiyuu's wonderful chemistry and the toe-tapping music. If you want Sailor Moon, get the manga. Or better yet, leave it on the shelves. Not recommended.

This show was one of my first animes and i highly enjoyed it. The english dub is okay, but after watching the original show in japanese its way better. As others have said they made alot of changes but i don't mind. I was 9 when i first watched the english dub and i doubt my mom would have wanted my watching a show with gay lovers and such.(btw if you want to see the original saiolr moons, the whole first season is now on Dvd!! buy it!) The only thing i dont like in this series that is DOES get very drawn out in the later seasons and has very little plot. The Manga is excellent so read it if you like this show at all!

Sorry Sailor Fans, but this show only scores a normal rating. It's good, but there's only so much a person can watch of the same basic idea dressed up again and again. After the first few seasons, the plot becomes a bit forced, relying on shock tactics to keep the viewer interested. And quite frankly, there's not a whole lot of character development going on here. It seems that mostly everyone in the series is either an airhead or...I don't know what. I know that it got screwed over when coming into the 'States on TV, but that doesn't excuse stale plot. It's nicely animated, a plus, and there's a good amount of action, another plus, but I feel it lacks that something that makes a truly great anime series. Call it it's soul if you will. And if you don't have a soul, you're either dead or...soulless. Sorry folks.

Maybe I'm a little biased, but I love this anime. The story is very specific about keeping the watchers interested by introducing new plots every season without lossing the connections between the characters and the various sessions. The Inner Senshi offer that special light heartedness through most of the series, while the Outer Senshi give the serious storyline that many other shows lack. The romance between Usagi and Mamoru is genuine. And since it's a long anime (200 episodes plus the movies and the special episodes) it does not get boring. Definately worth the time!
