It's good, but there's only so much a person can watch of the same basic idea dressed up again and again. After the first few seasons, the plot becomes a bit forced, relying on shock tactics to keep the viewer interested. And quite frankly, there's not a whole lot of character development going on here. It seems that mostly everyone in the series is either an airhead or...I don't know what. I know that it got screwed over when coming into the 'States on TV, but that doesn't excuse stale plot. It's nicely animated, a plus, and there's a good amount of action, another plus, but I feel it lacks that something that makes a truly great anime series. Call it it's soul if you will. And if you don't have a soul, you're either dead or...soulless. Now,I am a huge Sailor Moon fan and I love the show and comics. However, I MUST admit that the first season is drawn quite poorly, and NONE of it is done that great. But the story is good, even though it is a little cream puffy. And watching the Dic version is like sugar coated sugar. They made lovers relatives and gay men women 0.o! If you want REAL Sailor Moon, the Stars season is just about the best you can get.Now here is what I say to all those flaming it: I think it is a little weird that people say its childish and stupid because it isnt aimed towards 40 year old men, anyway.It is more of a show for girls under 14, so if you don't like that, or want to see a bloody gory sex romp, don't watch Sailor Moon and then blame it for your troubles. The plot isn't bad, but the only reason i still watch it anymore is because of how it's drawn. With all the stuff that they do, it looks very cool. I need to let off some steam. Here goes. Sailor Moon just got on my bad side big time. I wasn't a big fan of the show to begin with, but I was recently playing the RPG for the Snes and got a certain interest. So, I turned to the web and learned rather disturbing news. ZOICITE IS A MAN IN THE JAPANESE VERSION!!! Some of you might be going, DUH!, but I just learned that. It is disturbing since SHE was one of my favorites here in the states. I have always saw Zoicite as a woman. Since the Japanese version IS the original, I will forever see Zoicite as the pretty boy he is, now. I already knew about Neptune, Uranus, and Fish Eye's stories, but Zoi oh Zoi! I thought Malachite(Kunzite) was suave for liking Zoicite. What the hell? And just to think, Nephrite was killed because he loved Molly(Osaka Naru) because she was human. At least she was female, not that I have anything against homo sexuals.
