I find comments about the whole "Batman-style", "Roger Smith's eyebrows", and "boring plotlines" very hilarious. I think if you don't understand the story, it's because you didn't take the time to really understand it or the major twists and enigma surrounding the story is just too much for people who don't really want to "think" about what they're watching. I was immediately drawn into "The Big O" right from the beginning...the beautiful, beautiful soundscore...the dark and mysterious city and the unexplainable event that happened to Paradigm. Unbelievable. This series combines every theme that I love in an anime. (Plus, the dubbing is seriously one of the best around)

Most people don't like this anime as it reminds them of batman and looks too "american". Since when does all anime have to fit a specific look? The story is difficult to understand and boring if you dont take the time to figure it out. I like it now that i get a little about whats happening and i want to learn more. it's really and intriguing series, give it a shot!

The big is one of the best anime series I have ever seen.Its a mixture of giant robo and batman:the animated series.Its got a second season about to be shown on cartoon network and I think its a highley underated series.
