Without a doubt the most violent anime ever made. And yet it's also funny and touching and everything a great anime should be. And Nyu? Well, just imagine Chi from Chobits and add more blood than Samurai Champloo. You get the idea. Not to mention the opening theme is the most haunting hymn you've ever heard.

One of the best shows ever. Deeply based w/ stuning proposital contradictions and deep ambiguity. Made to be hated but at the same time loved. Ambiguity is in it's essence.

This animated cartoon has naked scenes, but not in a erotic suggestion. But it has extremely brutal scenes of violence.
I think that Elfen Lied is so good (in my opinion) because it shows the dark side of mankind, something that we do not want to see.
The past of the characters shows this.
The character design is very good.
The opening theme is excellent, as well as the ending one.
