| 2006/01/04 Very Good(+2 pnt) [Edit/Delete/Suggest to delete/Show only this review or post sympathy comment/] by Zach (Skip) Review history[Good:1(100%) Normal:0(0%) Bad:0(0%)] / Provider: 16603 Host:16848 Browser: 6381 Actually the series entitled "Chaotic Century" with the main character Van Flyheight was the first series. The second series was "Century Zero" With Bit Cloud. I like the first with van better because the idea of organoids created a good dimension to a pilots performance other than their skills. [by the way kate the zoids can operate without the use of an organoid] This was more interesting to see how zoids worked when used in war rather than a game as they are in century zero. 2005/08/25 Best(+3 pnt) [Edit/Delete/Suggest to delete/Show only this review or post sympathy comment/] by Real (Skip) Review history[Good:1(50%) Normal:0(0%) Bad:1(50%)] / Provider: 4826 Host:4856 Browser: 5944 I think that this is the best mecha animation! 2003/07/14 Good(+1 pnt) [Edit/Delete/Suggest to delete/Show only this review or post sympathy comment/] by Kate (Skip) Review history[Good:17(94%) Normal:1(6%) Bad:0(0%)] / Provider: 32509 Host:32584 Okay. The first Zoids season, featuring Bit, was very enjoyable. The idea of these giant mecha having a will of their own was intriguing, making them less machines and more partners. I do think that the mecha idea has been a little bit overworked, but hey, so has mostly everything else. It's hard to make something stand out next to a difinitive work like Gundam. The idea of making the Zoids partners in an extreme form of wargaming was neat. I found the series funny and enjoyed the biplay between characters. This season alone would rate a very good. The next season of Zoids, featuring...darn I can't remember his name. This pretty much tells you everything about it. It was forgettable. The self willed mecha idea is now gone, instead giving birth to the idea of much smaller semi-organic creatures that are needed to drive certain Zoids. This is a departure I didn't quite like, it's too much like needing a special AI or android to drive a ship, something done to death. I also feel that the more military structure is less pleasurable than the former idea of using Zoids as part of an extreme sport. This idea has, again, been done to death. It seems that this season took a step back instead of forward, as everything, including humor, fell a step or two. The only thing that might have gotten better was a progressive characterization, but that one plus was erased by having the characters be completely forgettable. Nothing about it stands out. Yeah, it's okay, but a far cry from its first season. This drops the series overall down to a simply good rating. 2002/12/18 Very Good(+2 pnt) [Unable to delete by yourself/Suggest to delete/Show only this review or post sympathy comment/] by Aaron (Skip) Review history[Good:4(100%) Normal:0(0%) Bad:0(0%)] / Provider: 0 Host:2123 Very enjoyable.
