Seldom does a game attract me like this, but Legend of Mana does. Having played it through approximately five times, I still feel that I haven't seen all there is to see or done all there is to do. The concept of individual quests that sometimes link together into a greater storyline is refreshing and intriguing. The music, for which there is a 2 CD import available, is incredible and seldom gets repetitive. Amazingly it's scored for a full orchestra, though the technology wasn't good enough to take full advantage of this at the time. The NPCs are all great, whoever wrote for this did an excellent job. I really love being able to create your own weapons and armor, though the system is complex and difficult to understand. (I still don't know if there's any rhyme or reason to it!) But the best part of the game is the storyline. Or storylines. Each has wonderful characters that you can grow to like immensely, my particular favorites being Elazul and Pearl. This game even made me cry once. That's saying something. Get this game, it's for PSX, it's cheap, and it'll provide hours of gameplay and fun.
