I prefer "Ringu" to US "The Ring" which was overly done with the effects just for the US audience. "Ringu" is much more calmer with psychological themes that test out our "fears". I would say this film is scary but more of a mystery with a supernatural twist to it. I think the best and shocking moment was when the girl climbed out of the TV. The sequence was so well-done; it didn't seem like any cuts were made. Really nice film.
