I think this is one of the masterpiece in Japanese comics history.
Though this work got famous through the movie, the quality of comics is much higher than movie.
The world was drawed with good details and the world was quite big.
And the environment and ultimate weapons had big meaning in the real world, too, due to the cold war.
So the storyline matched quite well to the era.
Though final chapter was drawed too late after the blank, it wasn't so good, but I can give best to this work though the end is not so good.
In that meaning, this is a quite rare work.
I think this is the best work of Hayao Miyazaki.
Actually, this works made Japanese people know how far we can go with comics and anime.
